Sony VAIO UX modded into a killer quad-boot PC
Gaurav Sood | Nov 24 2009

“Complete makeover” is one expression that defines this daddy of all mods (if we see from the perspective of PC modding), in which the guys over at Micro PC Talk completely changed the components under the hood of a Sony VAIO UX Micro PC. The most astonishing bit, this Micro PC was reincarnated into a quad-boot system with Windows 7 Ultimate, MAC OS X Leopard 10.5.7, Windows Vista Business and Windows XP Professional SP3. Coming on to the hardware revamp; the 1.2 GHz Core 2 Solo U2200 and 48GB SSD were replaced by an over-clocked (to nearly 1.438 GHz) 1.33 GHz Core 2 Duo U7700 processor and a faster RunCore Pro 4 128 SSD. Other add-ons include a voice-capable HPSA modem and a larger solid state drive. Now that’s what I call a hardcore PC mod, and it’s pretty clean too. Complete details of the mod can found out at the official site U PC Talk.
