LED Graffiti DIY: Everything’s getting techie and so is the art of graffiti
Gaurav Sood | Nov 5 2009

Whether it be Greeks and Romans engraving their figure drawings and written text in the yesteryear, or modern graffiti that represents hip-hop culture, this art is here to stay. Name anything and you’ll find that it has the word “technology” attached to it, so why not hook up for some techno graffiti. This project uses basic LED throwies (consisting of a magnet, 10mm diffused LED and a lithium battery) combined with a stencil to display some cool writings. The materials required to make this are foam core (ideally black), 5-minute epoxy, clay, paint edger attachment, 15-foot telescoping pole, hundred or so LED throwies, shrink tube or electrical tape, Xacto-knife and a T-square/ruler. Grab hold of this stuff and get ready for some bright night graffiti.
