Google has just released the Chrome 4.0 beta, which is a whopping 400 percent faster than the maiden stable version and 30 percent quicker than the current stable release. Google has a policy of releasing its browser in three versions: the developer preview, the beta (more stable but may still have a few anomalies) and then the stable version. The best feature in it being the browsing speed and the fact that users can synchronize their bookmarked sites across multiple computers easily. The Chrome browser has still a long way to go if it is to catch up with Firefox, but it dashed up to 3.6 % of the market in October 2009 (behind Safari at 4.2 percent). Google looks to be making the right moves to have a say in the web browser market, and I hope that the Chrome 4.0 beta delivers the goods.

Our goal for this Friday is to be able to count our Mac P1 M4 release blocker bugs on one hand (we’re in the 20s now everyone should have their P1 list practically at zero by the end of this week. If you are not going to be able to reach this, let me (or other triage folk) know ASAP so that we can get you some help.
