The button code project designed by Alan Parekh is a PIC 16f628A microcontroller driven single button code entry mechanism that has a retro feel to it. The main stand out point of the project is the single button which acts as a keypad for a four digit code entry using button taps. This straightforward circuit can be used as a controller system for garage door openers, toggle to turn-on & turn-off lights, door access or a simple security system for homes. The system has lots of options to toggle around with like slight changes in the code, activation time changes, different operating modes and much more.
