4mapper app gets Foursquare service on the map

Foursquare, a New York-based service that facilitates you to post unusual locations (like a cafeteria or office) by accessing the ‘Foursquare’ web site on your cell phone (iPhone, Android, Blackberry devices). Some have even deemed it the next twitter like web based aggregator, which amalgamates the recommendations about a location with social networking. Sadly, the service doesn’t have a method to visualize the same (as Foursquare provides only a text stream), but that has been taken care off by an app ‘4mapper’. It’s a very simple app (built on Google App Engine) which functions like a heat map for your visited locations.

The Foursquare data can be viewed on Google Map using the 4mapper app, with the checked in locations highlighted with a white dot; the more you drop in to some location, bigger is the white dot. You can zoom-in on the map for a better insight on the frequently visited location.
